Career decision-making difficulties are defined as the all-possible difficulties that one may encounter during the process of career decision-making, such as lack of recruitment information, knowledge of the decision-making process, understanding of their own and so on. Undergraduates are on the preliminary stage of career choices and career orientation that they lack working experience, so various decision-making difficulties would be caused easily. Career decision-making difficulties are disadvantaged for undergraduates to make the right career choices, and also impact on their career development. This result in the waste of human resources. More and more psychologists and human resources management scholars pay attention to this research and it becoming a new focus.On the basis of analyzing and summarizing the existing research achievement of career decision-making difficulties at home and abroad, the thesis makes a tentative study on the dimensionality of career decision-making difficulties and designs a Career Decision-making Difficulties Inventory by opening inquiry, interview, questionnaire survey. Also, this thesis discusses the multiple differences of population statistics variables on career decision-making difficulties. Using experimental method, the thesis gets the conclusion that career decision-making difficulties have influence on coping styles. The main conclusions are listed as follows:First, the structure of undergraduates'career decision-making difficulties is composed of four dimensions: self-awareness, lack of information, concept of conflict, career planning. The collectivity degree of career decision-making difficulty is in the middle level, lack of information dimension is the biggest difficulty, followed by the concept of conflict, then the career planning and self-awareness.Second, the degrees of career decision-making difficulties show remarkable differences on the population statistics variables such as gender, department, family seat and career guidance.Third, the different types of career decision-making difficulties have a significant impact on the coping styles of undergraduates. Undergraduates'coping styles appear more active than the concept of conflict in face lacking of information.Fourth, undergraduates of different departments have remarkable differences in coping styles to career decision-making difficulties.Finally, according to the study, some suggestions are given about how to reduce undergraduates'career decision-making difficulties, which might be helpful to career guidance in theory and practices.
