The constant investment into the basic education by our country in recent years has greatly popularized the number of the middle schools, which brings the Chinese education back to cite and at the same time brings new problems and new thinking to the education. The fact that the students with maths problems are quite common among the middle school students and pupils have a negative effect on the present and future study and work of the students, thus affecting the teaching result. Because the research done into the difficulty with maths learning has both realistic meaning and far-reaching significance, many export and researchers has done a lot of research and drawn a great many conclusions and meanwhile they have made an analysis of the reason for theme being so many students with maths problems from different angles and brought up a corresponding strategy. Unfortunately, in reality the study by the students with maths problems is far from being improved owing to the operation and absence of attention. It is important and necessary to study the cause of the middle school students with maths problems and put forward a corresponding strategy with the push of the national teaching reform.The paper has done research into the middle school students with maths problems founded on the previous study, supported by related theories of education and psychology. Besides, it analyzed and summarized the cause of the students with maths problems from different angles and levels based on various factors connected with psychology, knowledge structure, cognition, education as well as environments and textbooks together with self-education and family education.The research takes the students of No.4 middle school of Jinchang city as the subjects combined with the personal teaching practice of the writer of this paper, based on the earlier research using such different means as questionnaires, the analysis of exam result, case study, which has taken two years to follow and investigate the cause of the students with maths problems with the purpose of studying the corresponding strategy to make a further exploration of the improvement on the work of the students with maths problems by providing first hand materials all-sidely and meanwhile to play a certain reference role in the education and management of our school, helping to improve educational standards on a large scale , carrying out the educational policy and achieving the genuine educational goal.
