High-school Reading Teathing Base On The Learning Style Theory

The learning style theory has obtained the widespread application in West's discipline teaching, and is quite common in the domestic foreign language teaching research, but it is rare in the research of Chinese language reading teaching.This article uses the investigation method to find high-school pupil's reading study situation. At the same time, I use Cobo's learning style theory to carry on the contrast analysis about high-school pupil's reading behavior, and have discovered some beneficial conclusions. By the investigation, I have discovered the characters of high-school pupil's reading study: attaching importance to individual reads and ignoring the reading of dialogue; laying emphasis on reads silently and ignoring reading loudly. They view the self-reading interest as the center and show a strong inclination on how to explain the text characteristics. They all believe that, because they are instilled stiffly stodgily, the current Chinese language teaching has lost the humanities breath which the language class should have. Their common desire is that, in the language class, the teachers and students interact, students can participate positively, and express own opinion freely. The classroom atmosphere is active. Chinese classes can be related with the reality of society. By independent study primarily, students can increase reading time. Through the comparative analysis on different learning style type student, I have discovered the student of different learning style type has the slight difference in reading. The disperser learner is partial on the classical Chinese literature and the argumentation. The centralized learner pays more attention to the classical Chinese literature and the argumentation. The moulding learner displays the strong interest in the descriptive text. The accommodation learner is the typical prose amateur. By the relevantly statistical analysis about the learning style and the reading result, I also confirme the discovery. The result indicates that, Disperser student does better in prose reading than in the argumentation and the descriptive text. The moulding student does better in argumentation and the descriptive text than in the prose. The centralized student shows no bias in various literary styles reading. This indicates that, Disperser learner and accommodation learner show a stronger understanding in prose class text and argumentation and descriptive text, which is related with the stress of their concrete experience and the emphasis of their individual experience and the emotion experience. Meanwhile, it is also related with the fact that the moulding student does not excel to the prose understanding, but displays the superiority in the argumentation and in descriptive text reading. They pay great attention to the ponder observation and the abstract summary thought characteristic cannot separate. The centralized learner has not displayed the remarkable difference to each kind of literary style understanding, but their reading result is the worst. That is because they stress in abstract broad and the initiative practice study, which causes them to like solving the technical problem, not the restoration imagination which carries on to the language.In view of the above discovery, this article puts forward the reading teaching strategy. One is the strategy that student's learning style and teacher's teaching style (loses) matches. The second is the strategy that the learning style and the text language expression style matches (loses) matches. The third is on the basis of the learning style reading study strategy, including the strategy of independent reading study and the strategy of minute group cooperation reading study.In a word, this article has done a useful attempt on reading teaching. Although this attempt is very Superficial, I believe that with development of the learning style theory research, it will make impact on the Chinese language teaching reform materially and improve its level.
