| Our country has proposed the plan of building up an independent and innovative nation, and higher education takes the important tasks of intelligent support and talents reservation. Graduate education as the highest level of education which responsibles for the personnel training mission of high-quality, high-level creative talents. The quality of the graduates is seriously influenced by the graduate supervisors. So the quality of the graduate supervisor team is the major supporting force to set up a national innovation system and seize the high ground of the world.It is very important for us to build a graduate supervisor team that has visionary and innovative qualities which play a key role to make graduates have the innovative awareness and innovative capacity. In order to maintain the steady development state of the high quality graduate education, it is necessary to adopt practical measures and steps to strengthen the structure, constructing a young, energetic, rational structure of graduate education supervisor team.This paper analyzed education geopolitical structure,degree composition,title structure and age structure to explore the reasons for the irrational structure , and proposed countermeasures in how to improve the supervisors' structures by improving the selection and evaluation mechanism, establishing personnel training mechanism.
