The classroom teaching evaluation is a process to give judgements about the class,based on collecting and analyzing information. It is also a most important part of the teacher's evaluation. In different historical periods, there are different educational theories, thus resulting in different systems and standards on evaluation. The reform of the New Curriculum Criterion is advancing quickly, which emphasizes the evaluation of "Base on the process, and promote development ". It is not only the reform of evaluation system, but a complete change of the evaluation theories, methods and processes. Whether the teacher can comprehend the New Curriculum Theory and whether the theory can be actually adopted in class is decided by the classroom teaching evaluation to a large extent. The traditional evaluation of physics classroom teaching is established on knowledge, which, obviously, can't adapt to the requirements of the present New Curriculum reform. During the process of implementing physics New Curriculum Criterion,it is of critical significance to reform the present evaluation system and establish a set of brand-new evaluation to match the characteristics of physics teaching.Under the guidance of modern education theories, constructionism theory and the New Curriculum Criterion,and on the basis of study on physics classroom teaching as well as the factors which affect the clssroom teaching, this research obtains abundant of material by questionnaires to draw conclutsions and set the evaluation levels to form the appropriate evaluation system. By visiting experts, revising and actual testing,it proves to be scientific, systemic and practical.It is consummated and developed in practice. Thus 3 first-class targets are established including teaching design,teaching implement and teaching process; 7 second-class targets with teaching aims,teaching contents,teaching methods,students' activities,teacher's behavior,target realization and the classroom atmosphere;and 18 third-class targets and some other items. All these are set in the physics classroom teaching evaluation form.The index system of this research shows the characteristics of physics teaching and the ideas of the New Curriculum Criterion. It can objectively reflect the physics teacher's classroom teaching quality.It has some characteristics as follows:①Scientific and maneuverable,②Focus on physics classroom teaching 3D target combination,③emphasize to take teachers as major guidance and the students as principal parts,④good for the teachers' professional development,⑤give prominence to the experiment-based feature of physics.
