Since 1997, Ed. M program has played a positive role in the development of teacher education and the reform of basic education. Now, Ed. M program is in the stage of vigorous development, which shows new changes, new trends and some new problems in the meantime, so the quality for Ed. M program has been challenged. As a key link of Ed. M program, the quality for Ed. M thesis reflects the quality for Ed. M, which displays its important position. Therefore, we must assure the quality for Ed. M thesis, and continuously improve the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis. For this purpose, the study of the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis is based on H University in case studies.The study focuses on the quality for Ed. M thesis, and clarifies Ed. M thesis and the "anonymous" expert assessment form of H University in order to find out the actual situation of Ed. M thesis which includes both advantages and disadvantages, then extracts the discussion of the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis. Then the study carries out investigation by using questionnaires and interviews, and reveals the operational status of the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis of H University which involves three parts—management department, the supervisor and student. After that the study emphasizes the actual effects of the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis, and then analyzes the attribution in quality management, guidance, monitoring, evaluation and writing. Lastly, basing on the theory of TQM, the study puts forward some proposals for improving the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis.The study firstly uses text analysis to clarify the Ed. M thesis and the "anonymous" expert assessment form of H University in order to find out the actual situation of Ed. M thesis. Then the study uses investigation method including the questionnaires of students and the interviews of managers, the supervisors and students in order to reveal the operational status of the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis of H University. In general, the study takes the investigation primarily and the text analysis as auxiliary.Taking the theory of TQM as the basis, from the existing main problem the study puts forward the pointed proposals from the perspective of management department. Firstly, the management department improves rules and regulations including the quality standards for Ed. M thesis, the management rules and regulations, and supervising rules and regulations and so on. Secondly, the management department carries out the quality assurance activities through good communication, effective propaganda and training, and the great enthusiastic. Thirdly, the management department pays great attention to the monitoring and the evaluation, and plays the role of inspection and supervision. In addition, the management department makes much of the quality feedback so as to continuously improve their work. The purpose of these proposals is to improve the quality assurance system for Ed. M thesis, and further promote the quality for Ed. M thesis.
