The novels are very popular form of literature deeply loved by people. Novel teaching has been an important part in secondary schools. However, novels teaching can not arouse the students interesting. Why had thus of circumstance appeared? As an example to Chinese modern and contemporary novel, after analyzing "design direction of novel teaching content in textbook" and "novel teaching content research and practice" , in actual teaching I found it difficult to achieve the curriculum syllabus request, at the same time because the "outdated knowledge,focus on the series of skills and trick than despise the text itself,and emphasize authority than belittle individuality" , which causes the novel teaching too tedious and too difficult to advance with the epoch and to keep up with the new curriculum reformHow to solve this problem? Views from improving the novels teaching content, I divided the whole dissertation into "the development of story teaching contents in secondary school" and "the practice use for reference in novel teaching at home and abroad" two chapters to elaborate. In the previous chapter, I recur to annotation achievement of traditional Chinese novels and some novel research theories at home and abroad; in the later chapter, I appreciate some benefits of the story instruction at home and abroad.After cracking some relevant books about the annotation of traditional Chinese stories, I was deeply moved by a wide variety of techniques used by the ancients that they can be melt in the text while they are reading, paying more attention to surroundings, summing up the characters' individuation and so on . As for the story research theory, I mainly sort out "narrative perspective" "landscape" as well; because the both points are important contents but apt to be ignored in the novel teaching.As for the second part body of the thesis, I select a piece of homework exercise setting of an American school and Mr.Han Jun's classroom record on《drugs》—a famous novel written by Lu Xun, I talk about my own perception on them.The new curriculum reform emphasize the people-oriented philosophy, which requires us teachers should try to solve the mentioned existing problems in the novel teaching as possible as we can to meet students' need, to better our novel teaching current situation, achieve the real dialog with the text, to boost the students' attainment of Chinese Language literacy...
