In the 21st Century, when globalization is greatly accelerated by the modernization in society, Chinese traditional festivals, as the essential carrier of the national culture, is faced with challenges and pressure from different aspects. For this reason, the responsibility undoubtedly falls on the Chinese teaching, which should develop and expand the festival culture and put it in real teaching practice. Besides, the disadvantages of the basic education courses are gradually appearing, so it is emphasized in the New Criteria for the New Curriculum that"Chinese teachers should place great importance on the development and exploitation of the course resources and sufficiently play their potential."Therefore, this essay, in the perspective of Chinese course resource development, put forward strategies for the development and exploitation of festival cultural resources with the aim of choosing and using this important course resource.In the first place, the essay definited the connection of festival culture and Chinese course resource. What comes first is the clarification of the definitions of festival, festival culture and Chinese course resource.
