A Study Of The Exercise System In Chinese Reading Textbooks For Junior Schools

Reading textbooks often consists of fours parts, including text system, knowledge system, help-reading system, and exercise system. "It makes of the exercise system according to certain aims to design a suit of programs or subjects". One complete and resonable exercise system should be planned in arrangement, creative in editing, balanceable in quality. The functions of the exercise system , not only can help students to have their knowledge slidified and to improve the development of the reading ability, but also provide teachers the feedback of the students' learning, in order to achieve the teaching goals.There are not too much deep studies about the exercise system in Chinese reading textbooks for junior schools. Depended on the Bloom's Educational Taxonomy and the theory of expansible reading ablity structure, and according to teaching outlines and curriculum criteria of three areas(China, China Hongkong, China Taiwan), this thesis thinks about the strengths and weaknesses of the three textbooks, tries to find out a more reasonable arranging way of the exercise system of reading textbook which can also improve the study standard of the exercise system, and provides suggestions for the textbook in the new curriculum framework. All these will help the Chinese curriculum reform develop well and rapidly.
