This research was based on the career anchor theory proposed originally by E.H. Schein and a career anchor questionnaire was developed. By using this questionnaire on 479 college students, a college student career anchor structure was built. We also explored the relationship between career anchor and career decision-making self-efficacy by using this career anchor questionnaire and career decision-making self-efficacy(CDMSE) scale on 325 college students. The conclusions are as follows:(1) There are 7 types of career anchor in college students: Entrepreneurial, Security, Service, Autonomy, Technical, Managerial and Lifestyle. (2) The Career Anchor Questionnaire developed in this research has favorable reliability and validity. (3) There are significant differences on types of career anchor between students in different groups, such as gender, speciality, job direction, willing to apply civil servant and part-time job experience. (4) There is significant correlation between career anchors and career decision-making self-efficacy. There are significant differences in career decision-making self-efficacy between students of high/low mark in career anchors.
