As one of index as to evaluate career development, career maturity(CM) is an important element of career guidance. The research on college students'career maturity is of very important significance both theoretically and practically for the improvement of college students'career development guidance。However, the empirical-studies in thisregard in China are rare-with even rarer native measurement tools regarding college students. In view of this, referring to the researches on CM both home and abroad, this study develops the questionnaire of CM for college students and then discusses the influencial factors of CM and the relation of CM to career decision-making self-efficacy(CDMSE) among college students.Firstly, based on the results of open-ended questionnaire, interviews, literature review and expert evaluation, this study determines the initial construction of CM of college students, and forms a preparatory questionnaire of CM for them. Secondly, by using item analysis and exploratory factor analysis, the formal questionnaire of CM of the college students is to be constructed. Thirdly, we use another sample to make the confirmatory factor-analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, to examine the reliability and validity of the formal questionnaire. Finally, in research of its application, we carry on the variance analysis and the t-test to the official questionnaire data, discussing the situation of contemporary college students'CM, the influence of demographic variables on college students, and the relation of CM to CDMSE among them.The results of this study are mainly as follows:(1) The questionnaire of college students'CM consists of 35 items in 7 aspects, respectively 5 items in activeness,5 items in knowledge of job,5 in reality,5 in knowledge of self,5 in confidence,4 in knowledge of major and skills, and 4 in clearness.(2) The reliability analysis shows that the internal consistency reliability (Cronbach's a) of the questionnaire is.901, the half-split reliability is.829, and two-week test-retest reliability is.801.The questionnaire also has good content validity, construct validity and criterion-related validity. The results show the design of the questionnaire is reasonable and reliable, and the questionnaire can be used to be an instrument for measuring CM of college students.(3) The level of reality, confidence, knowledge of self, knowledge of major and skills, knowledge of job is relatively high, whereas the level of clearness and activeness is-relatively low.(4) The dimensions of CM of college students have significant differences in aspects of gender, grade, area, parents'education level, part-time job, the relation of part-time job to major, participation in league。(5) The correlation between CM and CDMSE is positive. The person who has higher CDMSE has higher CD, and vice versa. CDMSE is a predictor of CM.
