Chinese traditional festival culture teaching is an important part of the academic teaching Chinese as a foreign language, is also an important component of literacy class teaching Chinese as a foreign language. In recent years, the traditional festival culture teaching gradually gets the attention of world, but the festival culture teaching syllabus, specific teaching content, curriculum, teaching methods, textbook writing, teacher training and so on all have not a unified standard, to our traditional festival culture teaching has brought a lot of difficulties.This paper takes the Chinese traditional festival culture, combining with traditional festivals and teaching Chinese as a foreign language, through the students in the traditional Chinese festival culture teaching and analysis of the questionnaire, finding weaknesses of festival culture teaching, operational teaching suggestions are put forward. This article is divided into four parts, the first part introduces the status of Chinese traditional festival in Chinese culture and function, from the material and spiritual level to deeper into the traditional festival culture connotation and practical value. The second part combine traditional festivals and teaching Chinese as a foreign language, through the questionnaire for students in the traditional Chinese festival culture teaching and analysis, summed up the traditional Chinese festivals in the important value of literacy class teaching Chinese as a foreign language and the main principles of teaching. The third part according to the characteristics of different stages students, the traditional festival culture teaching, I finish the targeted teaching design. The fourth part, according to the deficiency of the traditional festival culture teaching respectively from the curriculum of Chinese traditional festival culture teaching arrangement, teaching methods, teaching material to cultivate the students’ writing, teachers put forward some suggestions and thinking. All in all, I hope this article can help foreign language teachers and students to provide reference and the reference of literacy class teaching Chinese as a foreign language.
