This paper addresses the importance of Inquiring Method as an assisting strategy in consecutive interpreting. None of the interpreters could hear or understand the source language completely, the best way to conquer this problem is to take the Inquiring Method. The author believes the Inquiring Method is an inquiring procedure which the interpreter can take to ask the original speaker the missing information. As an assisting method, it plays an important role on dealing with stress and assuring the quality of interpreting. |
