From October 17 to 19, 2014, the New Talents Seminar of the 3rd Jiayuguan International Short Film Festival was held in Northwest Normal University of Lanzhou, Gansu. The author took the role as a voluntary interpreter to participate in the two sessions of group discussion on the morning of October 19,2014. The author was responsible for C-E consecutive interpreting to director Frank Scheffer who comes from Holland. The theme of the seminar was about the Lanzhou Waterwheel. As a report on C-E consecutive interpreting, it discusses the problems that the author was confronted in the practical interpreting activity. There are the applications of interpreting techniques, the analysis of information processing based on the logic and the application of first person ignored in the interpreting process. Also,the author offers the solutions and reflections from the case analysis. It is the first time that the author has realized the importance of listening and expression training, logic training and the role of interpreter in the interpreting.The report is divided into five parts: the author discusses the task background and the purpose of task in the first part. The author delivers the detailed task description and task requirement in the second part.The third part is interpreting process which introduces the all-round preparation in the interpreting activity at the three time sequences. This part also refers to the feedback and the evaluation which received after the end of the seminar. The case analysis part shows the problems and barriers through the interpreting while the corresponding solutions can be found. The last part is the conclusion and reflection. The author makes summary and does the plan in order to enhance the interpreting skills.
