In order to activate the students to use the language in a more accurate and decent way, Teaching of Chinese as Foreign Language extends various teaching methods to excite the change inside the learners. The animal idioms are always being the difficult points and the heat-discussed matters in the teaching. Being influenced by different language environment, thinking patterns, concepts of values and different customs, the Chinese and English denote different deeper meanings to the animal idioms. So how to teach Chinese idioms and help students use them accurately laying the crucial position in the Teaching of Chinese as a Foreign Language.However depart form the surface meaning the animal idioms often have deeper meanings, such as extended meaning, associated meaning, comparative meaning and symbolized meaning. And animal idioms often change with the change of language environment and situation. So in teaching we should take diversity and differentiation into consideration to keep the validity of the class teaching. So there comes the appreciation and admiration of the students.This thesis can be divided into six parts. The abstract focuses on the selection of the topic, value of the study and the overall of the study backgrounds. The first chapter is the introduction of the Chinese animal idioms, which includes the form of the animal idioms and the change during the times. In the second chapter the author mainly focuses on the comparison of the animal idioms between Chinese and English. The third chapter is analyzing of the error analysis from the point of the reasons of forming. In the fourth chapter the author gives several practical methods to keep the successful of the class teaching. And the last part is the summarization of the full thesis.
