The Research On Hebei Energy Structure Oriented From The Sustainable Development

Energy is one of the most important conditions for human survival and development. As the continuously accelerating of China's urbanization, China's energy demand keeps increasing rapidly, and the pressure on resources and environment is up. So, it's necessary to study the sustainable development of energy in Hebei province, which is one of the biggest provinces to consume energy in China.Firstly, according to the situation of energy consumption structure (ECS) in Hebei, the data were collected to make an empirical analysis on the relationship between ECS and the sustainable development of economics in Hebei. The results of the empirical show that:the energy consumption and the ECS do Granger Cause the economic growth, and the ECS do Granger Cause energy consumption in Hebei. Energy ecological footprint is much more than ecological bearing capacity in Hebei, and Hebei is in the serious situation of ecological deficit.Secondly, the motivity of the optimization and adjustment of energy consumption structure were analyzed from politics, economy, technological progress and sustainable development aspects. Furthermore, the influence of energy price mechanism on energy structure was especially analyzed as the one of the most important economy factors, and the results indicate that electricity and oil are substitutes, and coal and oil are compliments, electricity and coal are compliments in the long run, while are substitutes in the short run., Which also show that there was not a perfect energy price mechanism in Hebei province.At last, some suggestions were given to improve the energy consumption structure in order to achieve sustainable development in Hebei province according to the previous analysis.Its innovations lie in calculating the energy footprint and the alternative or complementary relationship between energy in Hebei province.
