For over 20 years' reform and opening up, great changes have taken place in Chinese economic structure, of which the most apparent feature is the rapid-raise of private enterprises. At present, private enterprises have occupied the half of our economy. Private economy grew stronger day by day since 1980s in the crack of the traditional system. At the beginning of 21st century, the Chinese economy has consisted of three forms: the stated-owned economy, three --invested economy and the private economy.During the period of new economy, private enterprises in our country will encounter a series of opportunities in the process of development, and also in the face of more problems, especially the faultiness of human resource management (HRM) seriously prevent private enterprises from developing further. Ultimately, the competition of modern enterprises is competition of human resource; therefore, private enterprises must pay more attention to human resource, and perfect human resource system.It is exactly based on the problems of human resource management of private business, the author is in a large amount of research from the domestic and international experts achievement and on the basis of ones that investigate deeply, concentrating on probing into the relevant problems and practical choice of human resource management of private business.First of all, my essay starts from the whole environment that private enterprises are in, and set forth the essential and important status of human resource development and management in them.Secondly, I analyze the strong points and weakness of human resource development and management in private enterprises recently. Above all, I analyze the advantages of private enterprises. Meantime, 1 analyze the problems existed on the part of private entrepreneurs, and when selecting, cultivating and holding talents, what kind of problems enterprises neglected and existed.Thirdly, I analyze the existing questions about the human resource management. The main questions are: the lack of excellent enterprise culture; the lack of scientific human resource strategy plan; the lack of scientific achievement and appraisal system; the lack of effective drive mechanism and the lack of reasonable training mechanism.According to the analysis of above problems, I propose the strategy of human resource management of private enterprises. The strategies including: molding the excellent enterprise culture; setting the scientific human resource strategy plan; establishing the objective and fair achievement and appraisal system; making the enterprise's drive mechanism perfect; building up the reasonable training mechanism and so on.During the new century, with rapid development of science and technology, private enterprises still shoulder heavy responsibilities and have a long way to go. Only they meet the new challenges in a new competitive attitude, do they remain invincible in the complicated and instant marketing competition.
