With the progressing and maturing of world IT technology, broadband application has been popular in common people's daily life. The competitions among those broadband net telecom carriers that provide the broadband access service are more and more incandescing. Since the appearance of the nationwide " Internet Broadband Heat" in 2001, all telecom carriers have been contesting for the market share with all kinds of methods. Harbin CNC ,on the other hand, is a mainstay of communications market in Harbin . How to face the hot competition of the broadband market, to calmly analyze the broadband market, to fully utilize the national telecom reform opportunity, to develop own net core advantage, to build a professional telecom service brand, to find out a suitable way to develop company's broadband business.This thesis is a study about the competitive strategy of the broadband business in Harbin CNC with the method of combining theory with practice Founded on the actual investigation of the enterprise. It integrates the utilization of the related management theory like strategy management etc. The purpose is to promote Harbin CNC to establish and maintain its developing competitive advantage in the keen competition of broadband business.The main contents as below are included in the thesis. Firstly, the development condition of domestic and foreign broadband business and Harbin broadband business in recent years are summarized. Secondly, after the current situation and existing problem in domestic and international market of broadband business is expounded, the general environment of Harbin broadband business market was analyzed with " PEST " method. Moreover , the industry competition status of Harbin CNC broadband business is evaluated with the five kinds of competitive force model. Then, the strength, weakness, opportunity and threats of Harbin CNC with "SWOT" method are identified. Finally, according to the above research on general competition status of the broadband business in Harbin CNC, the general strategic target and the specific tactics and assurance measures are worked out.
