Research On Rural Anti-Porverty Problems Of North-West Region Of China

Poverty is always the vital issue that hinders the progress of human society. In China, the government has already made great achievements in that area since the reform and opening-up. The Chinese government has paid great attention to "agriculture, rural area & farmers" and anti-poverty issues in impoverished counties after the 16th National Congress of the CPC.This thesis, using methods of literature research, example-data analysis and specific instances investigation, tried to analyze the problems of the rural anti-poverty in northwest China and also tried to give some helpful supplements and suggestions.First, based on the domestic and foreign theories, the thesis further summarizes the causes and characteristics of the poverty in northwestern China.Second, the thesis take the countryside of Y city as an example, analyzed poverty and anti-poverty issues there, described the poverty-relief achievements in the area for these many years.Finally, according to the background of building new socialist countryside, the thesis suggested that China should learn from the successful foreign experiences, and take the policy of governmental leading and social participation to fill out the plan about the poverty relief issues. Such as programmer of entire village advancement, measures of provide small-amount credit loans, establishment of social insurance system and so on.
