Research On The Coordination Development Between Highway Traffic And Regional Economy

Traffic-transportation is the basic and proactive industry of national economy, and its development has enormously bearing on national economy, after the "reform and opening" policy has been implemented in china, industry and agriculture has been advancing rapidly, besides, the foundation of Chinese economy also has been increasingly boosted up. With the rapid urbanization process, more and more traffic convenience has been required between city and country. The relationship between intercity transportation and the regional economic development has drawn more and more attention. How to deal with the coordination development between transportation and social economy, and it is very important and urgent to actualize rapid, coordinated and sustainable development to satisfy the requirement of the economy and society development. As a major way of transport, It is being concerned widely by government and society that highway traffic how to reflect regional economy development. It becomes an important topic in regional economy study that highway traffic how to adapt to economic development and how to play a most efficient role in supporting the development of regional economy.Based on the summary of the domestic and overseas current research situation of highway traffic and regional economy, this paper has put forward that area traffic integration theory system is the basic theory of studying the coordination development between highway traffic and regional economy, analyzed the connotation of regional economy development from the standpoint of area economy, and then the determinative function to highway traffic has been analyzed one by one from all aspects of economy development, and the effects of highway traffic to regional economy also have been concluded. According to the requirement of highway traffic sustainable development, the definition of coordination development between highway traffic and regional economy has been summarized and the interactional mechanism has been analyzed. The evaluation index system of coordination development between highway traffic and regional economy has been established. The coordination degree and coordination development lever model, the total coordination development level trend index model and GM (1, N) analysis and evaluates model have been established in the thesis. On the basis of these established models, the quantitative analysis and evaluation are carried out for the highway traffic and regional economy system. Put theory into practice, a demonstration study on Hunan province has been provided, and, some suggests of the coordination development of the highway traffic and regional economy system have been brought forward according to the evaluation results and the new situation of Hunan province.The study in the thesis can give timely analysis and appraisal for coordination development of highway traffic and regional economy in our country, and provide scientific theories for government departments to make decisions for promoting the sustainable development, and also provide meaningful theoretical guidance and reference for analysis and appraisal of transportation and regional economy.
