Study On The Food Industrial Development Of Hubei Province Based On Improving Capability Of Independent Innovation

The food industry is important for the people's livelihood. Particularly in the current of such a transition, the food industry has entered a new stage of a "Industrial support agriculture, city support rural" and "coordinated urban and rural development", and it will have a special status and play an important role in the national economy and social development. In this new stage of development, the development of food industry has became a major topics facing to the issues of "rural development, agricultural profit and farmer income".On the basis of the industrial development and industrial innovation theory, this paper described the characteristics of food development industry in Hubei Province, using the methods of comparative analysis and quantitative analysis. The food industry in Hubei Province has maintained a growth momentum with some intent level of economic benefits for a long time, but compared to other provinces in terms of economic efficiency indicators of the food industry, Hubei Province is relatively low, and some even lower than the national average. For such a province which is rich in resources, and has convenient transportation and concentration of a large number of universities and scientific research units, the development of food industry in Hubei is clearly lagging behind others. Facing to the poor situation of low level of economic benefits, the irrational industry structure and the competitiveness of products in Hubei, enhancing the capability of independent innovation plays an important role in changing the model of economic growth, readjusting the industrial structure and enhancing the competitiveness of their products. Combined with the experience of self-innovation in developed countries' food industry, on the view of specific issues, this paper puts forward countermeasures and proposals for the food industry in Hubei Province to enhance capability of independent innovation.In this paper, according to the basic trends in the development of the food industry both domestic and abroad, combined with the actual status of Hubei, the strategies to promote the food industry in Hubei Province can be concluded as following: raising awareness as the leading factor, taking achieving the economic growth pattern and optimizing the product mix as the main theme, taking branding creation and upgrade the competitiveness of the food industry as the central processing, taking deepening and extending the industrial chain as the focal point, and expediting scientific and technological progress and innovation for protection, enhancing the capability of independent innovation, outstanding features, strengthening the supervision of the food industry in Hubei Province .Preliminary proposals: 1 )pay more attention to resource locality of Hubei and brand innovation;2)Rely on scientific and technological progress to strengthen joint cooperation; 3) Pay Attention to the development of food machinery industry to mprove material and technical equipment; 4) promote industrial clustering; 5) Develope the order economy and outsourcing business.
