Strategic Analysis Of A Group In The Development Of Dry Port

With the development of economic globalization, the acceleration of adjusting the pace of industrial structure and the increase of ports, the competition among port enterprises becomes increasingly intense. As an important port enterprise in Pearl River Delta region, A Port enterprise faces enormous challenges, in this situation, how to acquire a broader economic hinterland and resources has become an important issue."The anhydrous port"—a modern physical distribution center which constructs in the interior area but has the basic similar function with the coastal harbor, is an important modern harbor supply chain pattern to solve the problems of striving sources for port hinterland .The Guangzhou port located in the middle of Pearl River Delta region, the geographical position is superior, the owned Guangzhou port group has abundant strength and detachment condition to develop"the anhydrous port"as well as vigorous supports from province and municipal governments in the development policy.This article combines the qualitative and quantitative methods to study the Guangzhou Port Group"the anhydrous port"development strategy, first It summarize domestic and foreign construction of"the anhydrous port"on the basis of investigating domestic"the anhydrous port"present situation and Guangzhou port resources fully. From the group's own reality, this article analyzes Guangzhou port container business market that related to the development of"the anhydrous port"and describes space of group's red sea and blue sea. Then it uses the strategic management theories, analyzes the internal and external environment of"the anhydrous port"of Guangzhou port group systematically according to the domestic and foreign present situation and trend of"the anhydrous port", it has used SWOT to analyze the advantages and disadvantages, opportunities and threats for Guangzhou port group to construct"the anhydrous port".
