A Case Study On The University-enterprise Corporation Model Form Lanzhou University-jinchuan Company Collaborated Platform

The university-enterprise cooperation started in the 50's, has experienced a tortuous development process for half a century, and obtained noteworthy achievements in China. This kind cooperation has entered the information epoch with the advances in society and information technology. The new flexible collaborative model supported by the high-technology has become the current prevalent development trends. The abundant developments of the network have facilitated collaboration further. Based on the regional characteristics and development purposes, it is necessary to develop remote collaboration mode. The cooperation model with information technology application could not only play as interchange bridge between the education process at universities and the developments of the enterprise, but also improve personnel training speed, shorten the training period, savings training costs and simplify the training process.Lanzhou University and Jinchuan company have established a successful cooperative relationship with the establishment of Lanzhou University-Jinchuan Joint Laboratory since 2000 Twenty bilateral cooperation projects have been processed while 267 technical staff from Jinchuan company have been trained by the school of chemistry and chemical engineering, Lanzhou University. The joint laboratory has become a stable communication bridge, a battleground of the technological development, and a high level personnel scientific and technical training base of the Jinchuan company. This cooperation has also provided good chance for the development of the school of chemistry and chemical Engineering of Lanzhou University and the Jinchuan company has become a important practice teaching base for undergraduated students from Lanzhou university. Based on the characteristics of the remote, there are still some problems in the cooperation such as information asymmetry. From the university point, it has little limited understanding on jinchuan's technique. On the other hand, from a business perspective, some technical R&D can be processed in the existing experimental conditions. Thus the narrow and partial cooperation is caused by this kind asymmetric information. How to eliminate this information asymmetry in the collaboration, and promote the ambilateral development become a main research topic.This study aimes to analysis the problems in the current university-enterprise remote collaboration model and provide a solution from the remote perspective with a case study from the cooperation platform between Lanzhou university and Jinchuan company.
