With the IT industrial quick development, the competition in IT becomes more and more strongger, this is not only a chance and but also a challenge for the electronic connector industry. This competition focuses on the quality and price of the product, if you want win, your products need low price and high quality. Foxconn is accomplished in doing connector's manufacure, his scale is bigger and his quality is more competitive. However, the control, improvement and elevation of the quality of products are a gradual process which lasts for a long time. The objective of this thesis is to apply the DMAIC management method of 6sigma into the co-planarity improvement of the cable to board connector, with the improvement of the effect factor of the co-planarity; we can enhance the quality, the competition and the profitability. Economically speaking, the 6sigma manage method can greatly enhance the enterprise's profitability and really realize the manage stratagy"to win by quality."Six chapters are included in this thesis. Chapter one is the introduction which includes the background and meaning of the study, the development history of the qulity management and the context of the generation of 6sigma and the status trend of its research. Chapter two introduces the basic principle of 6sigma, which includes its origination, methodology, program and tools often employed. Chapter three, the traditional quality mamagement in Foxconn was introducted, which include the quality control of the development of the new product and the mass-produced product. It also analyzes the problem and insufficiency of this kind of management mold. Chapter four introduces the establishment and application of the 6sigma management system in Foxconn. And it raises some overall conceivement and running plan of the application of 6sigma in Foxconn. In chapter five, the connector DMAIC model is set up through the example of CBT GS series connector. In chapter six, the conclusion is given, and the following improvement work is brought up.
