Telecommunications Enterprises To Improve Network Operating Efficiency

The telecom companies in China are facing more challenges, for example, strong competitions within China telecom industries, improved requirements on products and services from the clients, potential competitions from the international telecom companies, and higher standards from international capital market. All of these require our telecom companies to enhance our own managing skill and efficiency. As network operation and maintenance are very important to the telecom companies, their efficiency has much bearing on the service timing and quality. Thus, network service efficiency is the core competence. To enhance the efficiency of network service needs maintenance to show up on the stage instead of staying background process as before, as well as new efficient pathways including focus changes from service quality to efficiency.In Chinese telecom companies, especially our traditional companies, there exist lots of problems, since they grew up under planned economy, monopoly environments. Such as there are too many managing grades, cost careless and low efficiency. Thus, this article discusses the re-organization of service process, the control of cost, the network resource management, the operation maintenance support system (OSS). And from these four different aspects, the author studies how the internal efficiency could be improved. In addition, it is also analyzed the relationships among them, which could be referred by our telecom companies.
