Thanksgiving is the virtue that is valued by all the people around the world.Moreover, it is also a traditional Chinese virtue that is necessary for us to inherit.Nowadays, to face a number of recurring cases missing Thanksgiving, the CPCCentral leaders and the insightful people in the education sector call the whole ofsociety to strengthen the moral education among the teenagers. In 2005 CPC issued adocument named "CPC Central Committee The State Council called for strengtheningmoral education ". The same year in autumn, the Shanghai Education Commissionreleased the version 3"School Code"For the first time, " Thanksgiving " has beenwritten into the School Code. In the new round of curriculum reform, student'spersonality development has become a priority.Middle school is a critical period for the formation of personality. Therefore, theunderstanding and training of thanksgiving for secondary school students are veryimportant for individuals, families and even communities. It should be vigorouslypromoted. Ideological and political discipline , as the main channel of moral educationthought, has to the unique advantage for teaching the students to be thankful.Therefore to explore the thanksgiving education in ideological and political course hasimportant practical significance.This paper is divided into the following sections:Introduction part is mainly about raising the question, pointing out the contents,purpose, and research methods of this study; defining thanksgiving and relatedconcepts; and setting the basis for the following studies.Part II is about the research and interview of the status of middle school students,so as to understand the characteristics of thanksgiving of the current middle schoolstudents. There is also an analysis of the reasons for current lack of thanksgiving.Mainly from four aspects: society as a whole, family, school and the absence ofthanksgiving education in ideological and political education classes as the mainpositions moral education, and reach to the necessity of thanksgiving education inideological and political lesson.The third part mainly describes the importance of thanksgiving education inideological and political courses. Thanksgiving education is important to improve thegoals and to rich the content of ideological and political education. Therefore, theimportance of ideological and political education could be recognized. The fourth part makes a three-level analysis of the goals of thanksgivingeducation in ideological and political courses in middle school, and explores andmakes necessary analysis of the materials of thanksgiving education in the ideologicaland political textbooks for middle schools.The fifth part is discussion and analysis of three typical teaching methods ofthanksgiving education in ideological and political course in middle school. Itdescribes how to implement thanksgiving education through classes, main themeactivities and researches.The sixth part discusses the implementation of the specific practice gratitude inideological and political classes in middle school. This article discusses how toimplement the thanksgiving education in the teaching in the classroom, in thethematic activities and in the research studies.The innovation of this paper is: First, to involve thanksgiving education in to theobjectives of ideological and political course curriculum in middle school. Second isthat the author, based on previous research results, develops a new path: combine thetheoretical knowledge of thanksgiving education and teaching practices of theideological and political courses, from the angle of actual courses and teaching. Thirdis the in-depth search of the materials of thanksgiving education from the ideologicaland political courses, points out the methods and channels of thanksgiving educationin the ideological and political courses.
