As the unceasing balanced development of the education of ourcountry, the secondary vocational education has become the important constituent of ourcountry’s education system. The secondary vocational education is also carrying on thetransformation on curriculum aspect. The secondary vocational education lay emphasison cultivating the talented persons who are high-quality, skillful and practical. It hasgreat important practical significance to promote society’s employment, social justiceand the construction of harmonious socialist society and cause our country to becomethe human resources powerful nation. In speeding up the construction of the modernvocational education system, the curriculum domain of secondary vocational school isalso developing and improving, especially to the sports teaching of secondaryvocational school.Presently, secondary vocational school sports education teaching implements“health first” as the guiding ideology, to cultivate the students’ lifelong sports idea, toimprove the students’ physical quality. The basketball curriculum obtained the generalstudents’ affection in the secondary vocational school. How to have sports curriculum toimprove the students’ physical quality and cultivate the students’ lifelong sports idea,and implement the teaching objectives of harmonious development of students’ lifelongsports and professional ability, is the key point of the basketball curriculum of thesecondary vocational school.Presently, secondary vocational school sports education teaching implements“health first” as the guiding ideology, to cultivate the students’ lifelong sports idea, toimprove the students’ physical quality. The basketball curriculum obtained the generalstudents’ affection in the secondary vocational school. How to have sports curriculum toimprove the students’ physical quality and cultivate the students’ lifelong sports idea,and implement the teaching objectives of harmonious development of students’ lifelongsports and professional ability, is the key point of the basketball curriculum of thesecondary vocational school.This article takes the10public secondary vocational schools of Chengdu as the objectof study. Through methods of document literature, questionnaire, on material law,questionnaire, interview, mathematical analytical approach and logical analysis, it hasconsulted the massive related secondary vocational schools, school sports curriculum,basketball curriculum’s literature materials and the books and so on, and it visits10Chengdu Secondary vocational school teachers and the students, and provides550questionnaires. It has conducted the investigation and study to the basketball curriculum development. It draws the following conclusion:1. Chengdu Secondary vocationalschool has opened the basketball curriculum in the school sports teaching, also thebasketball curriculum is a required course in base module. The schools have certainunderstanding in the development of basketball curriculum to promote student’sprofessional ability.2. The teaching objectives of the basketball curriculum of Chengdusecondary vocational school have no connection with the objective of personnelcultivation of secondary vocational school. The setting of the curriculum objectives hasno consideration of the professional features of secondary vocational school. And it hasnot enough class hours of basketball curriculum.3.There is sex difference in basketballactivities in Chengdu secondary vocational school. Male students are more active thanfemale students regardless of during classroom teaching or basketball activities. Variousschools carry out the extracurricular activities positively.4. At the present, during theteaching process of basketball curriculum in Chengdu secondary vocational schools,teachers are still in traditional teaching. And the students’ dominant position is not fullymanifested. We should embark from students’ specialized direction and motivate theirpotentiality to form their awareness of lifelong sports, healthy sports and happy sportsto develop the individuality and promote the psychological health and thecomprehensive quality.5. At the present, Chengdu secondary vocational schools’evaluation methods are too Simple.They neglect formative appraisal, it causes a part ofthe students to have not enough enthusiasm to the physical education.6. The investmentin hardware facility of basketball location and equipment in Chengdu secondaryvocational school is not enough. It has bad effect on efficient and healthy basketballcurriculum and can’t meet the students’ need of location after class.
