Research On The Cultivation Of High School Students' Geographical Quality In The Background Of New Curriculum Reform

The national literacy is the key to a country and the nation prosperous,geographic literacy is an important part of the national literacy."Geographicliteracy" is a new concept proposed in the new curriculum reform, high schoolgeography curriculum standard "must cultivate modern citizen’s geographicliteracy" as the core idea and the basic starting point of curriculum designcurriculum. But how to cultivate high school geography quality, although there havebeenscholars and schools to explore methods and strategies in the practice ofeducation, but different people have different views, no feasible way to improvestudents’ Geography literacy. Since ancient times, people put on the "top knowastronomy knowledge of geography," as a sign of knowledgeable, andgeographicliteracy training need days and months multiplying, not accomplish at one stroke, sothat enhance the high school geography quality is a complicated,arduous engineering.According to the geographic literacy as the theme, using a questionnaire survey,literature and other methods, this paper analyzes the impact of geographic literacy inthe global scope, has the important status in the new curriculum reform in China,the importance of geographic literacy in the lifelong development, and also revealsthe status quo of China’s geography is neglected. Then discussed the connotation ofgeographic literacy, through the questionnaire survey of the current situation of thegeographic literacy of high school students analysis, based on summing upthe existing problems, put forward the necessity of strengthening the geographicliteracy of high school students. Finally, combining research andpractice experience explore the enhancement strategies and methods of geographicliteracy, including the quality of their teachers, of high class rich and change theinherent mode evaluation.
