A Study On The Present Situation Of Pupils' Responsibility And The Countermeasures

With the development of times, education of the sense of responsibility for students draws more attention to the people. In 21 st Century, the education needs the talented with responsibility. Moreover, pupils are builders and successors of 21 st Century. Pupils are special social groups. Owing to their young age and quick learning ability, the elementary level is becoming the best time to develop a sense of responsibility for students. However, the existing education of responsibility is not enough, which leads to the lack of responsibility of students. Strengthening the education of responsibility for pupils is imperative. My research subject is based on the need of educational development, social development, and personal growth for responsibility, that is, studying the theory and practice strategy to provide a reference for in-depth study of education of pupil responsibility.This article sets the fifth- and sixth-graders from the primary school in Xigang district in Dalian as a study focus. By studying literature, the theory on pupil responsibility was explored. By employing the questionnaire survey method from a sample of 269 students from 5 schools, the situation and the problem of pupil responsibility were known. Analysis of the problems from the multiple perspectives, the strategies were proposed to settle the problems at last. These strategies include raising the awareness of pupil responsibility, adding ways of responsibility education, guiding the parents’ educational mode of responsibility education, improving the evaluation mechanism of schools to responsibility education, and building a harmonious society.The development of pupil responsibility hardly carries on without the close cooperation with school, family, and society. The education of pupil responsibility can achieve effect only if schools guide well, family value the form of habits, and social morality influences.
