Prose teaching has an important role in Chinese teaching for a long time.Resent years,the study of modern prose reading emerge in endlessly, all kinds of theories appeared, but always give a person the sense of confused and ambiguous. What does the prose teaching indeed teach?How can highlight the focus of the article?The author thinks that aside from the complex external form,regressing text and attaches great importance to reading the text,that’s what the reading teaching should pay attention to.Practice after class reflects the material editor to the text teaching content of the guide and specification to a certain extent.To research the Shanghai textbooks teaching material of prose teaching content set, is inevitable to study his prose reveals after-school practice settings.In this article, the author will use the concept of “the core value of text”,to make a comb and analysis of the modern prose after-school practice settings in the Chinese textbooks for high schools in Shanghai.In order to know if the Chinese textbooks for high schools in Shanghai can highlight the essay focus on the teaching content well.The full text mainly is divided into four parts:The first part, summarized the research status of practice of class and prose teaching in the past decade.By reviewing the existing literature, absorb the research achievements of predecessors, summarize and reflection.Found that there are not too many research about the after class excises of Shanghai textbooks teaching material and the after class excises of prose studies,especially lack the research of the after class excises of Shanghai textbooks teaching material just for prose.And found that the research literature generally taken from master’s and doctoral thesis,lacking of experts and scholars’ normative researchThe second part, mainly to define the concept of the modern prose, and try to find the core value in Chinese teaching.The author found that the prose concept is fuzzy, not having a very accurate definition.So the first thing in the second chapter is to defining the concept of modern prose, and trying to look for the characteristic of modern prose.Through specification of basic concepts, trying to prose "qualitative" clearer.The third chapter, first of all introduced the concept of the core value of the text, and then according to the existing list of modern prose in Chinese teaching core values, namely the prose mainly try to answer "what to teach" problem.The third part, breaking the Shanghai version of the language teaching material according to subject classification, in the form of prose of them title selection, then classifies and analyzes its practice after class.With the aid of the above work, determining the Shanghai version of prose language learning focuses on marked tendency, consider whether to meet the basic requirement of the core value of prose. Find more focusing on the ability of Chinese textbooks for high schools in Shanghai, the essay reveals the core content is involved but not sufficient, therefore its shortcomings are given advice.The fourth part, to clarify how to reasonable use of teaching materials in the prose of practice after class from the point of view of an teacher.On the prose "teach what",based on the study of if the teaching material is fully embodies the core value, the author found a glimmer of teachers for the implementation of the prose teaching plays an important role.In the last chapter, the author give some suggestions to the teachers who in charge of the directly teaching, hoping the teachers can make better use of good teaching material, making the prose reading teaching more specification and productive.
