With more and more communication and cooperation between China and Thailand, Teaching Chinese as a foreign language has boomed in Thailand supported by Thailand government. Most of students are into Chinese in universities, middle schools and primary schools, and a larger scale of Chinese elective courses are set in secondary schools in Thailand. However,there are a few researches on teaching design of Chinese elective courses, either a mature model in teaching practice. The paper attempted to discuss the application of Experimental Teaching Method in teaching Chinese elective courses in middle school of Thailand. Class models and teaching methods fit for Thailand students were selected by learning the teaching status, the study status and the needs of the students in teaching Chinese elective courses.The paper analyzed Chinese teaching status in elective courses, studied the strategies in elective courses and made a overall design and a case study, referring to the teaching experiences in Deebuk Phangnga Wittayayon School in the south part of Thailand and the Chinese teaching conditions in Thailand.Here were five chapters in the paper: The first chapter was introduction, which contained the background and meaning, literature review, contents and method; the second chapter was theory description about the contents, features of Experimental Teaching Method, which was compared with other theories also.The third chapter was analysis to the questionnaires. The objects of the questionnaires are Chinese teachers in Thailand. In this part, the author test and verified the feasibility of Experimental Teaching Method and summarized the Chinese teaching status in Thailand with the example of...school; The fourth chapter described the needs of the teaching objects, made a overall design with the guidance of Experimental Teaching Method, illustrated a case of teaching design in a elective course, and made a conclusion; The fifth chapter was effect analysis on the application of Experimental Teaching Method. The reflects were gotten by questionnaires and interview; The end chapter made a conclusion and pointed out the future of further study.
