Higher vocational education is a most important part of higher education in our country. It's the education which combines tightly theory and practice. It aims at training comprehensive and overall qualified vocational talents who are capable of the forefront services, technical & managerial work. The teachers involved in higher vocational education are required to be equipped with profound theoretical knowledge and a good command of necessary practical skills as well. In a certain degree, it is the teachers' professional qualification that determines the success of a vocational college.A scientific & rational performance achievement evaluation system will efficiently call forth the teachers' enthusiasm, provide them with proper guidelines, improve their performances, and better work for the development of Higher vocational education.This essay adopts the method of theories summarizing, documents reviewing, as well as the criterion & demonstration study. It makes a systematic analysis on the current Teachers' Performance Achivement Evaluation System(TPAES) taken by the higher vocational & technical colleges. As for the reasonable part, it's suggested to be remained, while for the problems, it needs to be further developed in the following four aspects: consummating the appraisal subject; optimizing the index system of TPAES; Providing a sound mechanism of the feedback & uses on the evaluation results.The essay takes the case of Hunan Commercial Vocational College to diagnose the problems in its present TPAES. Based on the standard as "double-qualification teacher", it has made out a suitable index system for TPASE of higher vocational colleges; It has introduced the fuzzy synthetic assessment method in the part of students' evaluation for teachers, and adopted positive feedback acrobatics.
