The teacher in charge of class is a collective organizer and manager who plays the role of the vinculum with the teachers of all branches. The teacher in Gharge of class links up the school, the family and even the society. With the development of the society, the competition becomes more violent, the concept transforms more quickly, the network society arrives, and the new curriculum reform implements deeply. Facing up the new changes, the junior middle school students' physical and psychological characteristics bring the junior middle school teachers in charge of classes all sorts of new requests that urge them to transform traditional thinking modes and the working ways. In this transformation, how is the working load condition of the junior middle school teachers in charge of classes? How is their working load? Is the load appropriate? If the load is overweight, what is wrong? Do we have any further measures? If the load is reasonable, why? The investigations and researches about the questions have great significance with regard to promulgating the real conditions of the work and life of the current junior middle school teachers in charge of classes and reflecting the real problems of their work to propose the measures of pertinence in order to improve middle education and positively promote our country elementary education in a benign way.This thesis firstly studies the related legal laws, regulations and even the policies of our nation and the city of Shanghai synthetically about the teacher in charge of class and normal teacher's working load and takes them as the essential rationale for further investigation and study. Then the author establishes Questionnaire of the working load condition of Shanghai junior middle school teacher in charge of class on the basis of visiting and forecasting and selects 203 random samples in Shanghai and then uses statistical software SPSS 13.0 for Windows to input and analyze the data. On the basis of investigation, this thesis carries on the analysis of the working load condition and the main origin of the junior middle school teacher in charge of class. The result displays that generally speaking, the current working load of junior middle school teacher in charge of class in Shanghai is quite heavy but there are differences between the different population statistic variation. The analysis indicates that the factors of the students, the classes, the teaching aspects, the school administration and the guardians mainly constitute the working load of the junior middle school teacher in charge of class Finally, this thesis carries on a synthesis consideration on the basis of investigation and analysis and provides the effective policy suggestions for the educational administration departments as well as the school superintendents in order to enhance the enthusiasm of the teacher in charge of class ultimately to promote our elementary education in a benign way.
