This paper analyzed the literature on the basis of vocational,professional,professionalism and the connotation of the concept of teacher professionalism,and to rely on the status of the geographical analysis of the professionalization of teachers to identify which questions,propose solutions thinking.Through literature research,surveys and studies,field research methods, primarily on the basis of the theoretical framework of the professionalization of teachers to analyze the status of geography teachers for their development. Theoretical innovation lies in:1.Through the analysis of the basic major property,the "teachers can not and are not a major" problem with this clear understanding.Even though the teaching profession does not fully conform to the six major features,but the teachers are no fixed work,and double major,and more altruistic nature,complexity,and life,and empirical sources,as well as the limitations of teachers so that we can only to the teaching profession as a "form of major," but are "completely professional" forward.2.For different regions,geography teachers at different stages of career professional level of teachers were compared,data from the questionnaire.Found by comparing urban and rural teachers in the academic qualifications,professional quality of the structure and the degree of sensitivity of information on the differences.Teachers pre-service and post in the professional development of awareness and ability is obviously different.In practice,this study in order to make real the full argument,the author of in-service geography teachers conducted a questionnaire survey and interviews,collation of data by analyzing the light of previous theoretical study,the current problem of China's 11 geographical analysis of the professionalization of teachers,and finally concluded that:1.Geography teachers found the current process of professionalization of questions:first, awareness of the lack of professional development,that is,the profession of teachers recognize the professionalism of not enough;Secondly,the basis of professional development is weak, low-level performance in terms of qualifications,expertise lack of basic knowledge and a serious shortage of education:Third,professional development points,will the professional development of teachers on the support points on the professional knowledge,which allows teachers to be the situation as a possible alternative;Fourth,the professional development system incomplete, regardless of are pre-or post-education training,as well as the appointment of teachers,incentive systems have many defects exist.2.On the different regions,geography teachers at different stages of career professional level of teachers were compared,data from the questionnaire.Found by comparing urban and rural teachers in the academic qualifications,professional quality of the structure and on the sensitivity of the information on the differences exist.3.Professional development of teachers to improve the environment(improve the salaries of teachers,sound legal system,improving the accreditation system,the reform of teacher education) under the precondition,geography teachers should pay attention to the professionalization of self-development:education(teaching practice),learn(lifelong learning), reflection(teaching reflection),inquiry(research),cross(exchange and cooperation) on the sixth principle.
