Lean production system is one of the most successful production systems. It has generated a shift in manufacturing. The world manufactures made great progress with lean thinking. The modern shipbuilding mode is lean shipbuilding mode. Outfitting management is the main content of posterior department, include installation of equipment, fixing of pipe system, and lay of cable and so on. It is also include the debugging of system and equipment, management of material and personnel.Due to the weakness of management foundation, shipbuilding yard in our country put most of the emphasis on the hull operation in the past. We attribute our docking time cut to the advanced workmanships, such as large-scale pre-erection, rapid erection and huge sections moving after pre-erection. So the period of hull building shorten obviously. Thus the difficulty of outfitting becomes the main obstacles of produce.Lean shipbuilding system starts thinking from eliminating the non-value added of shipbuilding in order to decrease wastes and save resources for raising the productivity and reducing the cost. Based on the factual situation of ship outfitting in a typical domestic shipbuilding enterprise, we use the theories of lean shipbuilding to study the aspects of ship outfitting operation, and try to find the restrict of manufacturing. In this article, we give some ideals that improving the application of new techniques and new manufacturing organization, which may be helpful to many domestic shipbuilding factories to improve their outfitting integrities which make dock and quay time to be easily controlled.This thesis contains seven parts:The first part compares the different of shipbuilding capability between China, Korea and Japan, then explains the necessary of"lean thinking"in shipbuilding. Thus the author gets the idea of how to organize this article.The second part introduces the characteristic of modern shipbuilding yard, the main principle of lean shipbuilding, and its relation to the logistics management.The third part introduces the application of computer integrated manufacturing system in S Shipbuilding Company, and illuminates the function of information systems in lean shipbuilding from daily scheduling, execution control, man-hour planning and team management etc.The fourth part analyses the process of outfitting work in S shipbuilding yard, and finds the problem of the unit assembly, the labor force organization in on-block outfitting, on-board outfitting. Then the article gives the solution that we can enlarge the scale of unit assembly, establish mathematics matrix to optimize labor force and the other resources in one-piece flow, promote the application of new techniques.According the prepare of manufacture, in the fifth part, we find the problem of outfitting design and palletizing management, give the principle of outfitting design, establish a mathematics matrix about the pallet distribution, and use the Genetic algorithms to find the answer.The sixth part introduces the application of lean shipbuilding information systems, unit assembly enlarging, new techniques, palletizing management, and quality control in 206K new type bulk carrier of S Shipbuilding Company.The seventh part is the summing-up and prospect of this thesis, the summing-up introduces the main work of the author, and the prospect illuminates what the lean shipbuilding mode will develop and the application prospect of computer integrated manufacturing system.
