Shi-sentence is a typical sentence of causative sentence in modern Chinese for its wide usage and complex syntax structures. However, it is not put highlight on in grammar study and in teaching Chinese as the foreign language so that the error rate of this type of sentence is relatively high.The study analyzes the part A, the character "Shi", part B and the part C of Shi-sentence under the guidance of Three-Dimensional Grammar for the purpose of deepening the research of Shi-sentence.In the aspect of semantics, four semantic factors of Shi-sentence:causer, causee, driving force and result are studied. Besides, three semantic features of Shi-sentence are also given a further study in the thesis.Shi-sentence, Shidong-sentence, Ba-sentence and Rang/Jiao/Ling-sentence are similar to some degree so as to cause foreign students confused about those four types of sentences. In this thesis, Shi-sentence are compared to the three others respectively.Under the guidance of the theories of "Interlanguage" and "Error Analysis", the study analyzes the error sentences from "HSK Dynamic Composition Corpus". Omission and misusage are the first two error types. Especially, the omission of the middle part of Shi-sentence and sentence-misuage are errors appearing frequently. The percentage of unnecessary usage and that of misorder of the character "shi" are comparatively low.At last chapter, in light of syllabus and textbooks, we take recommendations on the textbooks'arrangement and teaching methods for reference.
