Rural left-behind children is a special social group occurred with urbanization in china. Therefore, many researches on aspects of this group have been carried out in various social sciences, such as pedagogy, psychology, anthropology, demography and sociology. In most of scholars' opinion, rural left-behind children have all sorts of problems because of parents' absence. This paper chose X town's primary and middle schools as its research. From the sociological perspective, the researcher applied a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods to study on the status for the socialization of the rural left-behind children in detail. This paper includes six parts.For the first part, it elaborates the aim and significance of the research, along with the previous research fruits through local investigation and looking up literature and resumptively evaluates these research.The second part introduces Study Design. It proposes theoretical basis and research hypothesis and introduces Research Contents, Research Framework and Research method through local investigation and looking up the relative literature.The third part. Studies the region summary and the sample characteristic. This part chiefly introduces the region summary and entire sample characteristic.Chapter four analynizes the status of rural left-behind children' socialization. In this part, it analyses the living conditions of rural left-behind children and their parents. The researcher also analyses the conditions of the socialization of the left-behind children through comparing rural left-behind children with unleft-behind children by applying children's self-consciousness,life skills, life goal, social communication, social norms, values. And then summarizes this part.In the forth chapter an analysis of the factors that influence the socialization of left-behind children. It researches factors, such as family, school and society affecting the socialization of them on the forth part basis. The research show that the problem of socialization of rural left-behind children is a variety of elements such as family, school and society the result of joint action. And different factors have different impacts on it.Part six, conclusion and suggestion. a summing-up will be done to the whole paper. And some suggestions, such as family, school, government and society will be proposed on this basis.
