The political theory course in university is the main channel of ideological and political education, playing a very important role to the philosophy, the values and the world view. However, the main function of teaching Ideological and Political have not yet fully reflected according to the correlation between teachers and students throughout the teaching activities. Especially, most of the students show passive attitude in whole teaching process, they are not willing to be creative, positive to participant in these kind of teaching programme. It's the main limitation of the Ideological and Political education. Therefore, the fundamental of the Ideological and Political education is to focus on students. We must carry out the implement the main principles of education and encourage students to spontaneously, positively and fully participate in the teaching process. The efficiency of ideological and political theory teaching will be enhanced.The first part of this study is to introduce the background, research status in both domestic and foreign countries as well as the research method base on the material collection and doing the questionnaire. The study shows that most of the university students are not willing to involving the ideological and political theory teaching programme.The second part of this study is to discuss the concept of student subjectivity in ideological and political theory teaching. this part addresses that students are the subject in the class of ideological and political theory. Then, the"subject"and the"student subject"have been demonstrated and given the definition. Finally, the five characteristics of the subject of college students were under certain analysis, namely: for my nature, autonomy, uniqueness, initiative and creativity. The third part is to analysis the necessity of the ideological and political theory teaching from discussing both function and necessity. It shows that we must increase the student participation of ideological and political theory teaching.The fourth part is a combination survey of participate ideological and political theory teaching It indicates that the participation of the teaching activity is increasing. Meanwhile, it also describes the main problem of this activity.The fifth part is to discuss how to improve the ideological and political theory teaching. In the teaching process, we should improve the efficiency of ideological and political education. Teachers need to change their teaching ideas and the teaching content, improve teaching environment as well as build up an ideological and political course named"Great Practice"mode to further explore measure of how to increase university student participation.
