Language is a practical course, the significant instrumental quality of Chinese course decided that the Chinese language curriculum attaches importance to the training of application ability. The Chinese language application ability is not only the premise of people's life, study and work , but also is an important component of the whole quality of individual. To the secondary vocational students, the language application ability, plays an important role for students' comprehensive ability and the abilty of adapting to changing occupation.The Chinese language application ability mainly includes the language knowledge, language skills, integrated learning ability and intelligence. As the object of this study is the" employment-oriented" secondary vocational school students, so more attention is paid to the practicality of language. In this paper, we put the focus on the language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing all together four skills ) for secondary vocational school students'language application ability, it will be discussed in this paper in details. On the questionnaire of the language single ability to the secondary vocational school students, we make the objective analysis to the students'current ability .After contrasting with the outline requirements, we make clear about the contradiction between the training objectives and students'weak foundation .With the application of modern educational theory, we determine the training objectives and principles, and put forward the corresponding teaching strategies in the teaching, teaching methods, evaluation, organization mode implementation and other aspects . we attempt to find new ideas to improve the Chinese students' language application ability , and lay a good foundation for the employment of students and lifelong development.
