For a long time, the effectiveness of high school political course is not high, which seriously affects the physical and mental development of students. In this paper, as the Qixia senior school for example, I analysis the status and existing problems of high school political course through interviews, questionnaires, observation and other forms. By this, I find the main reason of the effectiveness of high school political course is not high is that the teachers'teaching enthusiasm is not high, the students'subjective status is lack and lack of lively classroom teaching atmosphere. So,improving high school politics teaching effectiveness hinges in strengthen high school the thought political lesson teacher team construction, arouse students'enthusiasm, to construct the harmonious politics teaching environment and comprehensive evaluation for the students.
