The Application Of Time Management In Project Of Olympic Communications Support Preparation

Project time management is an important part of project management. Project time management is to use the scientific methods to analyze the project activities included in project scope and the relationship between them, to estimate the time required on the various activities, and to arrange and control the start and end times of activities reasonably within the project time limitation. Project time management is the process ensuring the timely completion of the project. The author completed the project of Olympic communications support preparation successfully by introducing the Project Management Body of Knowledge and Project Time Management Theory. This project applies mainly the critical path management method of project time management; the thesis expounds the process of project scope identification and work breakdown structure in the project of Olympic communications support preparation, and also determines the project critical path, develops a project schedule according to the basic principles of critical path management method; and then through the schedule control, analyzing the project schedule in the project duration continually, grasping the dynamic progress, managing the project as well as adjusting the schedule timely while actual change occurs, so that the critical path management controls the project schedule effectively.This thesis summarizes the importance and the successful experience of the critical path management in large scale communications support preparation, and the schedule and control process of critical path management involved in the project process have a good reference on the development of the similar project of large scale communications support preparation.
