Study On Product Quality Improvement In Company F Based On DMAIC

Company F is professional equipment manufacturer and mainly engaged in 6C industries such as computer, communication, consumer electronics, car components and channel etc. Its management idea is of speed, quality, engineering services, elasticity, delivery and cost. In order to supply better service to customers, it is continuously developing its manufacturing technology and management. Recently, the Six Sigma has been knew and learned among the whole company. The purpose of holding those activities is to establish and develop the enterprise culture of continually improvement.This paper begins with a specific case, which is focused and defined with 6 sigma, and solved with DMAIC(Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control).The details is as follow, First, define the target by analyzing the voice of the customer and the SIPOC(Supplier,Input, Process, Output, Client). Second, list the possible reasons by analyzing the process and find out the key factors by doing some statistical analysis tests. Third, create the DOE test to improve the process and optimize the parameters. At last, keep the improvement by creating and carrying out the control plan.While research, the tools below are used: QC seven main methods, KANO analysis,measurement system analysis , RFC (exception handling Process), unusual condition analytical form,hypothesis testing,DOE and SPC (Statistical Process Control), and so on.By solving it, the Cpk increased from -0.86 to 1.43. which are finally qualified by customer. The company obtains the purchase order for more than 24 million RMB. In the same time, the customer praised us by making a huge effort during the new product development. Besides this, the experience and methods learned from this specific case can be applied to the same problems during the same process.
