The circuit breaker is an important device in electric power distributing, which can providethe electric distribution network and electric appliance with protections like short-circuit, overloading, under-voltage and unidirectional earthing. So the circuit breaker can avoid or reduceloss of electric system. Now, the electronic-technology, computer control technology, networktechnology and so on, have been used in intelligent circuit breaker. The intelligent circuitbreaker can display various parameters of the electricity, voltage, power and power factor. Notonly provide three kinds of safeguard functions, it also has functions like remote adjustment,remote control, remote communication and remote measure.The design of intelligent circuit breaker controller is completed by using the S3C2440MCU of Samsung Company, embedded Linux system and CAN bus. The current, voltage,frequency sampling and the realization method of CAN communication are mainly studied inthis paper.(1) Finished the measurement principle of electricity system parameters, and the design ofsignal sample circuit, power, keyboard, monitor, output circuit etc.(2) The method and process of Linux transplant on S3C2440platform.(3) The implementation of CAN bus communication module using SPI based on Linuxsystem have been described.
