The sentences which only contains predicate but no subject in modern Chinesesentence structure system are called no-subject, it’s regarded as one of thecharacteristics in Chinese. No-subject abound, and there’re many kinds of them.Philologists study no-subject from different angles. The conditions when you useno-subject are roughly divided into two types: one is that there is no need tocomplement subject and you can not tell who is the subject as well; another is that thesubject appears above or below, so that it can be omitted. This article is just used forthe first type and no-subject in this situation is called “typical no-subject”.No-subject not only exists in Chinese, but also in a member of theIndo-European Slavic—Russian. But no-subject in Russian is not the same as that inChinese. The Russiannouns and some pronouns in the sentences always have the form of “case”,reflect themeaning of “case”.“case” is virtually a reflection of the relationship between theactions and things, things and things in the objective world. The significance of“case” of these nouns and pronouns in Russian are also closely related to our researchof no-subject.This article describes some research methods and results of the problems ofno-subject and translation by linguistic, based on grammar theory, taking the oneswhich were thought by ourselves and some no-subject situations which appear inliteratures and network as the origin of language materials.
