As an academicpaper, the source text is composed with many difficult words, terms, andespecially long sentences, which are great challenges for the translator. This report firstly analyzes the translation difficulties, and then presentsthe translation strategies adopted under the guidance of Katharina Reiss’sText Type Theory. According to the Text Type Theory, the paper isclassified as the informative text which emphasizes on delivering properand comprehensive meaning during translation.
