The wide application of multimedia in education has enriched forms of teaching content.Presently,the majority of Chinese teachers have accepted multimedia teaching which is widely used in other areas. Some teachers always treat it as an adjunct to traditional teaching.So how to take advantage of multimedia is particularly important, in order to improve classroom teaching service.How to use appropriate educational technology in different teaching and learning environment depends on teachers.On the basis of research results at home and abroad, through theoretical analysis of the relationship between multimedia and foreign language classroom teaching,I explore the form of a morden foreign language classroom teaching from classroom teaching cases.The paper illustrates the process and tries to focus on linking theory with practice.Multimedia teaching methods includes the creation of scenarios,simulation demonstration and so on.They can be used alone or as an integral part of the traditional classroom teaching.Bringing multimedia teaching into the classroom doesn’t means to abandon the past,or to package all the traditional means of education, but to combine them.A variety of multimedia teaching methods makes role reversal possible that teachers from imparting knowledge help students to construct meanings. Some people focus on technology while ignoring the teaching content.Multimedia applications have limitations, especially in the actul teaching.
