| In recent years, more and more people become civil servants through the entranceexamination. The main task that the government faced with is the cultivation andtraining of civil servants, which develop the potential of their work, complete theofficial role change as soon as possible, and become the people within an organization.Through this training, those new civil servants will be corrected according to the role ofthe civil service requirements and identity and accept government culture, and finallybecome qualified civil servants. To strengthen the social function of the training and to improve their quality andcapability is not only the needs for the civil service capacity-building, but also the needsfor service type government. In fact, after years of development and improvement, thetraining has achieved certain positive results, but there are still many problems in thetraining content, form and subject leading to the lack of effectiveness. For example, theinitial training pays more attention to the teaching of theory and professional knowledge, while it is in lack of attention to the local and departmental culture and interpersonalcommunication, which directly leads to the newly recruited civil servants’ adaptabilityto work and obstacles during interpersonal communication.Firstly, my thesis analyzes the intrinsic function mechanism of the initial training’seffects on civil servants’ organizational socialization at a theoretical level, on the basisof defining the two terms, namely initial training and organizational socialization.Furthermore, through interviewing the newly recruited civil servants in Suzhou, thethesis probes into the current situation of how the initial training affects civil servants’organizational socialization in China.Besides, the causes of unsatisfactory effects areanalyzed too, from the aspects of the applicated theories, the system and the techniques that are used. Finally,by discussing about how to optimize the initial traning’sideas, contents, methods and evaluation, the thesis aims at providing a practical referencefor the management of civil servants’ organizational socialization in our country. |
