Vocational training is educational and training activities that according to the requirements of the occupation or labor status to workers, for the purpose to develop and improve the professional skills of laborers. Depending on the training organizations, mainly divided into the grounds of the government-led public vocational training, vocational training undertaken by training institutions, as well as staff training carried out by the employing unit. Vocational training is an important part of human resource development, and it is the basis of labor and employment. It plays an important role to improve the quality, employability, career transition as well as the capability of workers. Development of vocational training is an important means of promoting economic development, the key to solve the skills shortage and an important measure to promote employment, it is also the urgent need to build a harmonious society. Since the Reform and opening-up, China’s vocational training has achieved remarkable results, and played an important role in developing economic and solving the employment problem. At the same time, there are some inadequacies, the vocational training does not well adapt to the needs of the social and economic development, industrial restructuring and improvement of workers. Especially compared with the advanced vocational training system in Asian countries, system of China’s vocational training needs to be further improved, the efforts need to be further increased and the relevance and effectiveness need to be further enhanced. The plight of China’s vocational training includes that legislation and management system, policy implementation, teachers’construction and funding, quality, and the vocational certificate system is imperfect. Korea, Japan and Singapore have long begun to focus on the legislation, policies, teacher, capital investment and qualification to protect the development of vocational training, has accumulated a wealth of experience. Therefore, the purpose of this study is that analyze the successful experience of these Asian countries, in order to put forward the proposal to develop China’s vocational training.This paper uses the methods of analysis of the Humanities and Social Sciences, grasp the connotations of vocational training, clarify the significance of the development of vocational training, then discusses the current development of China’s vocational training from the aspects of legislation, policies, personnel and capital investment, quality and the vocational certificate system, analyze its shortcomings and defects. On this basis, filter and summarize the successful experience of the typical Asian countries. Then put forward some measures to develop China’s vocational training, including strengthening the legislative work, promoting the effective implementation of the vocational training policies, increasing personnel and capital investment, improving the effect of vocational training, establishing incentive system, perfecting the vocational certificate system, in order to provide information and reference for the in-depth development of China’s vocational training.
