With the development of basketball projects, the core stability of basketballathletes play a more and more important role in basketball game, if the basketballathletes’ physical strength quality is one of the basic conditions of decidingvictory or defeat, then the core strength is a key, connecting the upper limband lower limb, it plays a hub and control the physical stability role, and thecore strength existents almost all the sports projects, it also plays a importantrole in all kinds of sports projects, it not only keep the athletes body positionin sports, complete a variety of special sports technical, but also is theimportant link of physical force. With the study of experts’ research at homeand abroad, the core strength training as the supplement of training method oftraditional strength, have been gradually accepted by the majority of sportsworkers in our country.The experimental study is selected of JiLin University, College of Physical,the major of sports training of basketball,2010grade10students to take thetraining and testing. Using the SPSS16.0statistical software, to test thedata, mathematical statistical and comparative analysis. According to the testresult and the data of statistical calculating, it is expressed by the mean andstandard deviation, in experiment before and after, using the test methos ofthe T to calculate, the result is p<0.05, to show the difference is significant,P<0.01, to show the highly significant.The experimental results: the students are training after8weeks, all the testshas the remarkable enhancement.The conclusion of the study: in the test of the core stability strength, thestudents of better performance, in the process of competition and training, whenthey completion the various of movements, it showed better, shooting accuracy,good control ability and combat ability are also showed a good effect. Accordingto the core strength training after8weeks, the students showed the significantimprovement in all the aspects.
