The integration between information technology and curriculum is that using IT in teaching to achievethe improvement of teaching and learning.<Basic Curriculum Reform (Trial)> points out promoting theapplication of modern IT in the teaching process, promoting the integration between Modern IT and variousdisciplines. The continuous advancement of modern IT has provided the technical support for curriculumintegration. The purpose of integration is to solve problems in the teaching process, select the appropriateteaching aids in the classroom teaching and improve learning efficiency, and improve the quality ofteaching.The theoretical basis of the IT and curriculum integration is made up of learning theory and teachingtheory. Learning theories includes cognitive learning theory, humanistic learning theory, behaviorallearning theory and constructivist learning theory. Teaching theoretical includes structure-found teachingtheory, advanced-organizers teaching theory, teaching process optimization theory, theory of thedevelopment of teaching, the guidance of teaching theory and Mastery Learning.After sample survey, we have known the application of modern IT in middle school chemistry class.Most secondary schools of our province already has the hardware basis of IT and curriculum integration,97.37%of the schools have been equipped with the computer room,89.47%of the schools have beenequipped with multimedia classroom; the majority of the teachers can use the teaching software,89.47%ofthe teachers can produce courseware with PPT,26.32%of the teachers can use Flash to make courseware,some teachers can use voice editing software to produce courseware; teachers have already recognized theeffect of using IT teaching,92.11%of the teachers think the use of IT can improve the students’enthusiasm.This paper analyzes the PEP chemistry textbooks under the new curriculum in Henan Province, anddiscuss the use of IT in teaching in three aspects.1.the teaching of conceptual knowledge: chemistry is a subject studying chemical composition,structure and nature of material on the level of atoms, molecules, most of the conceptions are micro andabstract. The teaching process is the creation of scenarios-the introduction-a breakthrough of difficulties-summary. We analyzed the application of modern IT in this teaching process.2.the teaching of chemistry experiments: chemistry is a science based on experiments. The newcurriculum points out the experiments can train students’ experimental skills and problem awareness, playout its educational function. The teaching process is demonstration-perform-discover and solveproblem-evaluate and summary. We analyze the application of modern IT in this teaching process.3.Webquest: it has a wealth of learning resources on the network. Its teaching process is the import ofcourses--assign tasks--webquest--online collaboration--evaluate and summary. We analyze the applicationof modern IT in the exploration of the network.I use the “atomic structure” to doing the compared experiments. By comparing the experiments, it hasno significant differences before the experiment, but after the experiment the results of the students in twoclasses have a significant difference. According to the students’ understanding, I find that the use of modernIT can improve students’ interest and learning efficiency, help students learn by themselves and finallyimprove the students’ achievement.
